Applied Superconductivity & Magnetism
Application-oriented studies in the laboratory focus on high-current applications such as superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES), Fault Current Limiter (FCL), persistent-current switch for high-temperature superconducting coils and energy loss in high-temperature superconducting wires. The lab is also engaged in developing mini-size Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (m-TMS) and in characterizing magnetic nanoparticles. These studies are supported by governmental and industrial sources.
