Fault Current Limiter (FCL).

This laboratory-scale single-phase FCL prototype limits the currents at power stations caused by a fault in the network. The 3D version of this device won two international prizes - GE innovation prize (USA, 2010) and Science/Technology prize (Zurich, 2011)) - and is now beeing comercialized by GridON Ltd.
